30 Rocks!

My dear friend celebrates her 30th Birthday this year.  She is a one-of-a-kind girl with a true love for music.  What better way to recognize this milestone than to throw a "30 Rocks! Birthday Party".  We had a couple of rock games and mexican themed food.  Such a fun time with a great friends - no better way to spend a Saturday night!!

Key Points:

 - Entertainment - games are a great way to break the ice and keep the party moving.  I had the guests draw numbers (so couples would be broken up) and we played a Rock Music Themed "Catch Phrase".   The winners got the Rock Star Doll.

-Food - finger and "grazing" foods are always perfect for gatherings.  I had chips and salsa on the table with the Birthday Girl's cupcake.  I had a buffet table with taco "fixings" and biscuit empanadas.

-Themed Decor - DIY Cakestands - $2; Rockstar Doll, Hobby Lobby - $5; Personalized Picture Frame, Ross - $5.

Corbin's Super 7th Birthday Celebration

My son Corbin knew one thing for sure when I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday party this year.  He wanted a SUPERHERO theme (which was perfect since The Avengers opened the same weekend).  Here are some of the pics from the party!

Some Key Points:
Entertainment for Kids - I had a station set up for the kids to make super hero wrist-bands.  I pre-made the bracelets with cardstock, felt, and ribbon. The kids then used shapes and glitter glue to decorate.
Party Favors: - I had several glass containers that I taped super hero themed powers (Shapeshifting, Laser Vision, and Flying) and filled with candy for the kids to put in super bags.
Photobooth:  Usually at Halloween Corbin chooses a Super Hero to dress as so we had costumes for the kids to "dress up" in.
*Tip - buy extra costumes after Halloween in a size or two larger to last longer

A Dream Is Awakened...

The above pictures are from my wedding, September 10, 2011.  I loved every bit of the wedding process.  I so enjoyed the planning process in fact, it inspired me to create Pretty Little Planners, an event and party planning business.  And what good is it to have all these beautiful pictures if they just stay in a drawer or album somewhere?  So Pretty Little Planners also creates scrapbooks to capture all your wonderful memories.
